November 10 Celebrations. Science, Pneumonia, Kebab, Girl Child, Mountain...

 

  • World Science Day for Peace and Development: This day is celebrated to promote the role of science in achieving peace and sustainable development. It encourages people to use science to solve global problems and to promote cross-cultural dialogue and understanding. UNESCO: Science holds the undeniable potential to change our world for the better...supporting scientific development and fostering an understanding of science are imperatives.



  • World Pneumonia Day: This day is observed to raise awareness about pneumonia, a leading cause of death in children under five years of age. It aims to educate people about the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of pneumonia, and to call for global action to reduce the burden of this disease. Approximately 2-3 children die every hour from pneumonia in Bangladesh


There are a number of things that can be done to reduce the risk of pneumonia, besides vaccines. These include:

  • Quitting smoking: Smoking damages the lungs and makes them more susceptible to infection.
  • Avoiding secondhand smoke: Secondhand smoke is also harmful to the lungs and can increase the risk of pneumonia.
  • Eating a healthy diet: Eating a healthy diet helps to boost the immune system and make it better able to fight off infection.
  • Getting regular exercise: Regular exercise also helps to boost the immune system.
  • Washing your hands frequently: Washing your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds can help to remove germs that can cause pneumonia.
  • Covering your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze: This helps to prevent the spread of germs.
  • Getting enough sleep: Getting enough sleep helps the body to heal and fight off infection.




  • World Kebab Day: This day is a celebration of the delicious and versatile dish known as kebab. Kebabs are made from skewered meat, vegetables, or fish that are grilled or roasted. They are popular all over the world and can be enjoyed in many different ways.  


  • International Day of the Girl Child: This day is observed to promote girls' rights and to celebrate their achievements. It aims to raise awareness about the challenges girls face around the world and to call for action to empower them. Declared by the United Nations



  • International Mountain Day: This day is celebrated to recognize the importance of mountains to the environment, people, and economies around the world. It aims to promote sustainable mountain development and to conserve mountain ecosystems. It can be traced back to the 1992 Earth Summit, which was held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. At the summit, world leaders agreed to the Convention on Biological Diversity, which recognized the importance of mountains for biodiversity conservation.

  • Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi: This is a holy day for Muslims worldwide. It commemorates the birth of Prophet Muhammad, the founder of Islam. It is a day of celebration, prayer, and giving to charity.

  • Day of Remembrance of Atatürk, Youth and Sports: This is a national holiday in Turkey. It commemorates the birthday of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Turkey. It is a day of celebration for Turkish people and a time to reflect on the country's history and achievements. Today: over 95% of Turks are literate, has made significant progress in recent years in developing its democracy.

  • Panama Canal Day: This is a national holiday in Panama. It commemorates the completion of the Panama Canal and opened on August 15, 1914. The canal is a vital waterway that connects the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.

  • National Pasta Day: Why did the pasta cross the road? To get to the other saucy side This is an unofficial holiday in the United States. It is a day to celebrate the delicious and versatile dish known as pasta. Pasta is a popular food item all over the world and can be enjoyed in many different ways.
